4th Line Theatre’s Robert Winslow will draw inspiration from personal experience for his role as Hermyle Lalonde in The Bad Luck Bank Robbers, opening July 2.
Lalonde, like Winslow’s father who also suffered from a heart condition, is affected by reactionary ‘flare-ups’ of his condition because of his brothers’ antics in the play.
“Angina is like a Mac truck sitting on your chest,” says Winslow explaining what his character feels. “Now it’s an easy fix, fifty years ago it killed you.”
The Bad Luck Bank Robbers follows the members of The Red Hood Gang, composed of the three Lalonde brothers: Hermyle (Winslow), Jean-Claude (Paul Braunstein), and Yvon (Tim Walker), and their friend Roger Martel (Ryan Hollyman), during their ill-fated robbery of Havelock’s Toronto Dominion Bank in 1961- the largest single day bank robbery of its time in Canada…
