Spring is one of my favourite times of the year, and a clear sign that Easter is coming.
There are lots of chocolate treats to buy and I enjoy some of them, particularly those gold foil-covered bunnies, and lots of chocolate eggs!
Of course, it’s also the time of year for the Easter bunny. I love giving out Easter cards that are sparkly, and I decorate the inside of them with those small, sparling Easter stickers. It’s such a joy for me to do these up! I’m also happy to spring ahead this time of year to get that extra hour of daylight.
In the morning, I can open up the windows and absorb the sounds of a variety of birds. What beautiful sounds they make! The Canada geese are back, which always provide their own pleasant sound.
I will also be able to use my clothesline again. Another favourite this time of year is freshly-boiled maple syrup. You can’t beat it, drizzled over freshly-made pancakes- a Canadian favourite for sure!
I look forward to setting out my lawn ornaments and watching the solar lights come to life while the whirligigs spin around. Bicycles have already begun taking advantage of clear roads.
So savour the season.
