Originally from Vermont, Danielle French was interested in introducing her four daughters to a simpler way of life in the country before they were old enough to put up a real fight.  Her vision was influenced by her childhood summers on her grandparents’ farm where food and family were the focus every day.  Ten years ago she found the 75 acre propertyduring a regular trek from Toronto to the family cottage on Stoney Lake and jumped in with a vision of repurposing the dilapidated barn into tasteful retreat which could be the launching point for her transition from the corporate world to the country life.  She moved here permanently with four daughters and a dog and some ideas about how to bring the best in simple, artisanal food inspired by the land to city dwellers.  Her first venture called Farm Flavours, involved creating a prepared meal from things grown locally delivered to Toronto customers every Friday, but since then, her ideas have become much more grand…
