Summer Events at your Local Library

Cavan Monaghan Libraries are pleased to present another summer of free children’s programming, no sign-up required. Kathryn, Megan and the kids have been off to a great start in the first three weeks, with the themes such as Wild, Wild Me, Plants, and Creepy Crawlies as the first themes. Programming is available at the Bruce Johnston branch on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at the Millbrook branch on Wednesdays and Fridays, and there is something for all ages and abilities! Here is the breakdown of our current children’s line up:

 

Tuesdays @ Bruce Johnston and Wednesdays @ Millbrook:

11:00-12:30: Craft (all ages)

1:00-2:00: Special Programming (all ages)

2:15-3:00: Science (all ages)

 

Thursdays @ Bruce Johnston and Fridays @ Millbrook:

10:00-10:45: Storytime (all ages)

11:00-12:00: Kindergarten Readiness (3-6)

1:00-2:00: Reader’s Theatre (7-12)

Programming will continue for the remainder of the summer with themes like Under the Sea (July 26-29), Outer Space (August 2-5), Dinosaurs (9-12), Magical Places (16-19) and Danger! (23-26), concluding with an end-of-summer party on August 24 from 11:00-12:30.

Children are also encouraged to join the TD Summer Reading Club, which will help them track how much they read and win prizes through the Library.
