Ptbo County-City Paramedics Establish West End Base

The County has secured a Lease Agreement for the premises located at 1003 Clonsilla Avenue to establish the Peterborough County-City Paramedics – West End Base effective September 1st. During their recent 10 Year Resources and Facilities Master Plan, Peterborough County-City Paramedics identified the west end of the city of Peterborough as the optimal and priority location for a PCCP base.

“This location will clearly address the current and future needs of PCCP and will allow us to meet the identified growing needs in this end of the City and County (south and west) and will benefit our service as a whole to the City and County”, said Warden J. Murray Jones.

“Minutes can save a life! As a member of County Council and Joint Services Steering Committee as well as the Mayor of Cavan Monaghan, I am pleased and fully support the establishment of a west end PCCP presence in the City”, said Cavan Monaghan Mayor Scott McFaddden.

“This new location will significantly increase the percentage of emergency calls that PCCP can meet in 6-, 8-, and 10-minute targets in the City of Peterborough and the Township of Cavan Monaghan, enabling PCCP to meet and exceed legislated/council approved response time targets” said Chief of Paramedics Randy Mellow.
