In a press release issued on May 2, the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority (ORCA) announced that “In response to public safety concerns, Otonabee Conservation has taken steps to temporarily restrict public access to the Millbrook Dam.” The press release goes on to say that the fencing will be in place until “such times as the hazard is eliminated or mitigated”.
Concerned citizens in Millbrook show their displeasure in front of one section of the newly erected fence and display posters advertising a Public Information meeting at the Legion, May 13, hosted by the Save the Dam Mill Pond Group, to discuss the dam, pond and mill.
