The Open Horse Show at the Millbrook Fair was more than just a local competition this year. In conjunction with the National Barrel Horse Association, some of the barrel-racing divisionson Sunday were actually District 4 Showsfor national barrel racers who came from all over Ontario to compete.Members of the NBHA earned points at this event bychallenging one anotherfor the fastest times and clean runs. By accumulating these points throughout the yearwithin their district, the barrel racers may qualify for the NBHA World Championships and National Championship Series, which will be held at the NBHA headquarters in Augusta, Georgia.
