Despite the cool temperature, there was record attendance at the Lion’s Fishing Derby last Saturday, with 134 registered participants and a few latecomers who were waved in at the last minute. The contestants were hoping to snag one of the 256 Brook Trout that had been deposited into the pond, ranging in size from 8” to 11” long, if not the real prize, Millie, a 5 pound specimen.
