The stars were shining brightly at Millbrook South Cavan on Friday May 26th, 2017. Thanks to Mr. Schroeder and Mrs. Ray we had our second annual “Shining Stars” talent showcase. The whole school and some parents came to watch the amazing performances by students from kindergarten to grade 8. As a participant in the show, I think that this is a really good idea and fun for the whole school whether they are watching or performing. I also like the idea of recognizing the awesome talents in our school.
The auditions were held on the week before the show. In the show we were lucky to see all sorts of unique dances, spectacular singers, and instruments like the drums, guitar, and ukulele. I think the students and teachers were highly impressed with the performers and their bravery to get up on stage. On behalf of our whole school, I’d like to thank the teachers who took the time to organize the show, our grade 8 MCs, and the wonderful performers. Although I am going to high school next year, we hope Millbrook continues to host annual talent showcases for the years to come.
