Line by Line… Zion Line Named For An Early Country Church

This is the first in an occasional series that will, over this next year, take readers on a random tour of each of the Township Lines that run from east to west, and to points in between and beyond, exploring the origins of the names and some of the sights along the way.

Counting up from the southern boundary of Cavan Monaghan Township, what was formerly the 4th Line of Cavan runs from the hamlet of South Monaghan, once known as Centreville, across to Glamorgan Road which marks the boundary with the City of Kawartha Lakes.
