Last Farmers’ Market this Sunday

Leni Rautiainen

You have one final chance to get to the Millbrook Farmers’ Market this year. The last market of the season will be held this Sunday, October 25th from 10:00am to 1:30pm at the Old Millbrook School, 1 Dufferin Street.

As we get ready to wrap up for another year, you still have time to stock up on some of your favourite local foods – fresh produce, meats, delicious baked goods and preserves, honey, maple syrup and more. With Halloween just around the corner, be sure to stop at Cody and Kelsie’s Vegetable Patch stall for an assortment of locally grown pumpkins. There will also be lots of lunch and dessert items to choose from.   If you love chocolate, you’ll definitely want to sample the hand-crafted, artisanal chocolate made by our superb coffee vendor, Dan Legault (Dan Ledandan Foods).

Weather permitting, we will have our regular line-up of special events. The children’s StoryTree will begin at 11:00am with local guest reader (and Cavan Monaghan Councillor) Jordan Landry. The Millbrook Public Library’s back-by-popular-demand book sale will continue during market hours.

With this season quickly coming to a close, the vendors and organizers of the Millbrook Farmers’ Market would like to thank everyone for their patronage. This season was our best ever thanks to your support. We look forward to seeing you again when we return for another great season in May. Until then.
