Laptops for Belize

Laptops for Belize: Pictured is the curator of the Garifuna Museum located in Dangriga Belize. Through the generosity of Wayne Blaby, George Obey and Mike Van Drunen of Computer Solutions Plus a laptop was donated to the museum to assist them in their efforts to tell the story of the descendants of African slaves.

Beside the museum is a school dedicated to preserving the Garifuna history and culture. The school received a donation of 200 pounds of rice, 100 pound s of red beans and 50 pounds of split peas. Remarkably, the spit peas were imported to Belize from Quebec. The funding for these food donations was the result of a recent Outreach Program held at St John’s Anglican Church in Ida.
