The newest food provider on King Street is also new to the food industry. Owner John Patrick and wife — have many years of business experience in the cleaning industry, but were looking for a change of pace and regular hours to allow them to spend more time with their youngest son. While the hours many be more regular, they are not short. John arrives at the café at 4 am each morning to prepare the roasts he uses to prepare his sandwiches made to order each day at the café. Also on the menu are homemade soups, a special coffee roast he has custom made, simple lunch specials for local staff and school children including hot dogs and pizza pockets, as well as muffins and bagels.

The venue is decorated consistent with the retro theme, with a few tables, a couch and an old-style television set broadcasting old favourite television shows from much earlier days. Customers are welcome to take out their purchases or find a spot at a table or on the couch and relax in the bright sitting area.

The Café is open from 9:30 to 5pm six days a week. Drop in for a chat, a coffee and some casual menu selections where you will recognize all of the names of the ingredients. KG
