It will be hard to top last year’s Antique Car Show, but organizers at the Lions’ Club are giving it a try. Last year the weather brought out over 200 cars from 910 to 1990, filling the streets with colourful memories sparked by shiny vehicles. Coming from Belleville, Huntsville, Welland and beyond, visitors had plenty to see while entertained by Wild Willy.

The big news this year is that REMAX will be setting up a hot air balloon beside the Millbrook Library to give rides to the public during the Car Show- weather permitting, of course! The rides will not cover much territory, as the balloon will be tethered to vehicles on the ground, but for a free-will donation which will be donated to ____, participants will take off up in the air under the guidance of Cross Country Air Balloons. The hot air balloon experience is only possible in good weather. High winds and serious rain (not light showers) will force the rides to be cancelled.

There will be no Lions’ food trailer operating during the Car Show, but food will be provided by local downtown businesses at the King Street site, and there will be food available at the library location from local sources as well, because you will need an energy boost to cover the show and to make your way up to the library for your ride in the sky!
