Down The Line – Summertime

Summertime, a time to relax and enjoy the warm weather and a time when we didn’t have to adhere to schedules or go to school, but if you lived on the Line, it was a time when children were asked to help out and work. This meant possibly baling, loading and unloading bales of hay or at least getting the privilege of maybe driving the tractor. My memories of summer always meant scratched knees, boosting those hay bales up onto a wagon, a truck or a bale elevator…
