Crestwood Students Challenge Jimmy Fallon

Mental Health is on the minds of Crestwood students, and they are hoping to bring the popular talk-show host Jimmy Fallon on side to help share their message.  With green tape wrapped around their ring finger, students are coming together in support of Crestwood`s Grade 12 Leadership class who prepared a video about the stigma attached to getting help for this invisible illness.  They are reacting to a story Fallon shared on air about how he almost lost his finger after it became caught, and he expressed his appreciation for the prompt and effective help he received in reattaching his finger.  Crestwood students are asking if he would have been so open about sharing a health issue had it been related to mental illness.   Entitled `Give the mental health stigma the finger`, students are hoping their campaign will bring awareness to the stigma attached to this disease to encourage a more open attitude which will help people facing challenges to seek help.  Mental health issues are on the agenda of student and educators as they work together to educate everyone about this pervasive illness that strikes people of all ages.
