Becky Davey, (AKA the composting queen) is one of the volunteers at the Millbrook Community Garden who knows a thing or two about composting. Recently, she shared some of her tips.

“Why do you like doing it, composting?” I inquired as she rearranged her bags of leaves and twigs; “browns” she called them; brought to illustrate our discussion. She smiled and shared with me how a few years ago she attended a talk given here in Millbrook about composting. The idea took fire; she loves how you take all the raw materials, mix them together properly and you end up with rich, beneficial microbe-filled black Earth; good stuff!
