On Saturday, November 16, a large crowd gathered at the Women’s Institute Hall in Mount Pleasant to celebrate the official opening of the new kitchen. The renovations and upgrades were made possible with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and a Community Funding Grant through the Township of Cavan Monaghan, in addition to fundraising by the Institute. Mayor John Fallis was present to cut the ribbon and join in the celebration. Among the many guests present was Margaret Killeen, author of the column ‘On the Line’ which is featured twice a month in The Times. Read more in this week’s edition of the Millbrook Times.
